What to Expect

When you visit Church of the King, you will find a welcoming and relaxed environment centered around worship, prayer, Scripture, communion, and life together.

Our services are intentionally unhurried and participatory, creating space for worship, reflection, prayer, and attentiveness to the presence of God. Alongside biblical teaching and worship through music, our worship gatherings include weekly participation in the Eucharist, opportunities for personal prayer ministry, anointing, testimony, and moments of Spirit-led response. We gather together to encounter Christ and be formed in His love.

We are a community made up of people from different generations and backgrounds and we value the warmth and connection that come from growing together as a community of faith. Families worship together during our gatherings, and children are welcomed as an important part of the life of the church.

What should I wear?
 
Wear what feels comfortable to you. Here, you will
see people dressed in a variety of ways, some more casual, some a little more dressed up. There is no
dress code. We are simply glad to welcome you.
 
What about Children? 
 
Children are welcome in worship with their families. While we do not currently offer a separate children’s ministry during Sunday worship, we have a Grace Space in the sanctuary, where children can move, play quietly, and feel comfortable while parents remain nearby and participate in the service. We know children are children, and we are glad they are part of the life of the church.
 
Do I need to be Pentecostal? 
 
No. People from many church backgrounds worship with us. We are a Spirit-filled church, so we believe the Holy Spirit is present and active today, including through prayer, healing, and the gifts of the Spirit. You are welcome here whether Pentecostal language is familiar to you or completely new.
 
Can I receive Communion?
 
Yes. At Church of the King, we share communion each week. You may also hear us call it the Eucharist, a word that means thanksgiving. 
 
We practice an open table. You do not need to be a member of our church or come from a particular church background. If you desire to receive Christ’s grace and come in faith, you are welcome to receive.
